There is blue stuff in the nail of my faucet in my bathrooms?

There is a strange blue substance in the nail in the faucets in my bathrooms. Does anyone know what that is or have had it before?

1. hard water deposits? do u mean the screw? take a tooth brush and baking soda to it.
2. when copper "rusts" or oxidizes it turns green or blue-green. so its probably moisture there doing it.
3. By the way, just what part of the faucet is the "nail"????
4. If it's truly blue then it could possibly be excess pvc glue that dislodged from a fitting somewhere. I am not sure what part of the faucet a nail is however.
