UPS Mail innovations?

I'm confused on the subject of UPS Mail innovations. I ordered a skin from skinit and I got it, and it was really fast. The order came from some place in california, to a town that neighbors mine here in Illinois, and that was in one day. But I thought UPS innovations was the slowest since it's cheap, but I'm wondering how it got here so fast. Is it consistent like this?

1. UPS is fast, no matter what some may say. (I'm not affiliated with nor an employee of UPS either, by the way). It's that you are buying from a vendor that actually cares that you get your product quickly. I order stuff from Florida (I live in Seattle, WA), but the vendor wants me to get my stuff and keep using them. I sincerely cannot complain about 36 hours from Florida to Washington State. Like I say, it's all about the vendor.
