Portrait Innovations and infants/toddlers..?
How are they with infants/toddlers? My sister got her and her fiances done there and they turned out great! They are reasonably priced. Quick. While we were waiting I was being nosy and looking at other peoples pictures that were going through them on the computer and it looks like the childrens pictures turn out great as well. But, my question is: How are they patient wise? Position wise (as in they don't just use a couple props, have them sit in a couple positions, etc.)? How was your overall experience there?

- I've used them several times for my 2 year old son's pictures and I've never had any problems. They have always been patient with my son and they used about 3-4 backgrounds and even more props - at our last session they took my son's picture with a football, a small rocking chair, with a block that had the #1 (1st birthday) and they also put him down in a metal bucket for a few pics. Overall the experience was great - the only thing is is that they tend to overbook so you might have to wait a little longer than you would like (this hasn't happened to me but to people I know). Also - I love that you get your pictures back that day.
- We took our son when he was almost 13 months old for his first professional pictures. We went to portrait innovations b/c I had heard really great things about them. Over the course of about 1.5 hours, they took 133 different shots of our son and seemed to love every minute of it. Our son did great! We didn't have the first problem with our son or the photographers there. I took 4 different outfits for our son and we got pictures with every outfit that we took. Lots of differnt "poses" but they get down on the floor with you and have fun taking the pictures...so they don't look "posed" at all. For some of the props/backgrounds, we did some pictures with him wearing a little baseball outfit on baseball field background with a ball and glove...SOOOO CUTE!!! Plus, did some with a red colored background that matched the stripes in his little baseball outfit...one of the pictures looks like it could be from a baseball card. We also did some with him in just a pair of overalls...some were on a fall looking backdrop with him playing with a small tractor and another was with him sitting and standing with a little red rocking chair. Also did some with blocks (the building blocks with the letters on them) that were really cute. Plus we did some with the beach background (looks like the surf is about to hit you)...they put a little boogy board/surf board thing, a seashell, bucket and shovel, and beach towel with him...and he was wearing a little blue and white hawiian shirt with blue shorts. Those were just a few of the poses/backgrounds/props that they did...we ended up coming home with about 15-18 different poses in the end. Overall, on a scale of 1-10, our experience was at least a 20!!! The pictures were great, the prices were great, and the staff was excellent!! I definitely recomend them to anybody wanting to get pictures done! EDIT - I had checked online for the one nearest us and they opened at 9 am so I made an appointment for 9:30 so our son wouldn't be tired and cranky for pictures...we showed up a little before 9 so we could look and see what backgrounds they had and get some ideas of what we definitely wanted picture wise. Didn't take me long to figure out some of what I definitely wanted so they went ahead and started doing our pictures shortly after 9. We got through picking out the pictures that we wanted, ran a few errands, and came back and they were there on the counter waiting for us!
- This is not really an answer. : ) But I am so glad I read your question. I've never heard of them and it turns out there is one not far from me. Now I know where I'm going for my daughter's 2 year photos next month. ; )
