Can't get my Micro Innovations KB730/KB740X keyboard to work on my computer.?

I bought a Micro Innovations KB730/KB740X keyboard at a yard sale today and I can't get it to work on my computer. Does this require a driver download or some sort of software. The guy said just to plug it in and restart my computer and it would work.
