Can Kraft cheese powder go bad when stored in excessive heat?

Can the cheese powder in macaroni and cheese go rancid when stored in excessively hot environments (102F/39C?) I am living overseas in Egypt for the summer, brought some mac & cheese with us for her for a "western" treat, but when I made it this evening it tasted awful. It has been hot for the last few days, with the temperature in the kitchen around 102F(39C).

1. its possible since there is dairy in there
