Does anyone know about a simple device to use at home to detect skin cancer?
I know for sure that American Academy of Dermatology's Skin Academy designed for patients a device simple enough to use at home for skin cancer detection. Also I remember watching Doctors talk show. One dermatologist showed how he used special light on skin to spot anything unusual. This show was about prevention.

- You could use the telephone to schedule a dr's appt.
- Yes, a phone to call a doctor
- yes, a trained dog.
- The simplest device would be your eyes.
- I've personally had problems with moles that are skin cancer forming. My dermatologist said that if I have any concern to come in. The problem with home detection kits is they aren't a guaranteed answer. so what if you got a incorrect answer...? it said you are fine, but you aren't... was it worth not taking the trip? i'd say no.
- A tricorder.
- a phone to call your doctor? some trained dogs. check yourself for lumps.
- I believe you misheard. They are offering free skin tests doctors have been working on such tests, none are approved by FDA. there are too many false positives there are home DNA tests to check for the likelihood of cancer, not a diagnostic for skin or other cancers
