How are our current worldly conditions changing the design and production of the modern car? Will we have the variety available? Will all the companies still exist? What about the economy, climate, global relationships, etc.? How are those affecting the design of the modern automobile? And could you include websites where you found it so I can read further?

  1. Concern for dwindling costly resources is causing manufacturers to build more fuel efficient cars, use less materials, and use materials that can later be more easily recycled after the car has gone its useful life. All of these factors are driven by the world economy being heavily depended on oil and the relationship nations have with each other, e.g. the haves and the have nots. A sub-set to this is that burning fossil fuels MAY be contributing to global warming. Additionally, with unemployment up, fewer people are buying cars and many who can afford to buy are opting for cheaper cars.
  2. The conditions changing the design of modern car: The metallic body of the car goes to waste, at the end of useful life of the car, as it is not recycled, and the resources are getting smaller day by day for new cars. Plastic materials will be most likely will replace metallic body of the car as it can be recycled and need not require painting. the metallic waste takes very Long time to decompose. The engine will have to be made of the special hardened plastic, which will be completely closed, and need not require change of lubricating oil, during its life time, to save oil resources. Life of the engine and the body of the care must of equal duration, for over all economy, so when the engine breaks down, the body breaks down too, the whole plastic car can be sold back to the manufacturer in order to get a new car at discounted price.
