Beehives – visual, research, custom, modern hive designs?

I am researching existing and or modern designed hives that might include insulation, heaters, windows for sunlight entry and or for evaluating and researching bees. Can anyone refer me to any individuals and or companies that have developed any custom hives? I think that by providing advanced comfortable hives that honey production will be maximized. Any feedback would be appreciated.

1. You are correct that optimizing the comfort of beehives can optimize bees' happiness and productivity.
