I NEED SOME INTERIOR PAINTING IDEAS, SOMETHING CREATIVE?

i want to paint my living room , but i dont want to do it all one color. i wanted to do the walls half one color half another color. i cant find a website to show me different designs or ideas to paint a room other then all one color. ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE GREAT! :)

1. tape off vertical stripes and alternate painting them using the same color, but one in satin and one in flat. I am trying to get my kids to do this in their living room but they are too bland to try new things! LOL
2. Use an accent wall. The more coats the more dramatic. Faux works well also if you enjoy that. You may use a piece of trim (any thickness) to break the wall. Just caulk or tack it in place. This will allow an easy 2 tone that looks pretty cool. If you use tape you will need to paint part of the wall first then tape over that color. Finish with the other color. The finished product this way is not always a clean line (since sometimes it lifts the paint off unless it is well cured not just dry or it bleeds under). Start at the top..
3. Once you choose a color that you like I would suggest painting two different shades of that color...the darker on the bottom and the lighter on the top. If the colors are too different the room looks choppy and smaller.
