  1. I'm a design show junky and I would recommend tan walls with turquoise and brown poca dots or stripes.
  2. you want to stay in the color range as your comforter. since you are dealing with browns and aqua (very nice colors by the way) you want to stay with colors like light brown, beige, tan, or caramel with a thick aqua stripe going around the edges of the wall at the top, middle or below. it would really make your room look "put together". but aside from the colors you want to have diffrent pieces of decor in the room to make it look diverse, interesting, and truly yours. things such as a bamboo chair or palm leaf trees, lamps , rugs, ect.
  3. You could either try to match the light turquoise color or go with a sandy shade like "Arabian Nights" by Behr. Or paint three walls one color and one accent wall the other. I don't think you have a whole lot of choices, but the room will look warm and cozy with the sandy color or more upbeat and vibrant if you choose the turquoise shade.
  4. you should play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer/index.jsp I think a dark brown wall color like "Turkish Coffee" (# 6076)would be beautiful.
  5. I would do a tan. Sherwin williams latte is warm and cozy. you could even go with a lighter tan. I would paint the wall behind your bed a soft turqoise. happy painting!
  6. taupe is a great color and its neutral in case you change your color scheme
