Website Design... which area is best for me?
Hi there. I understand that there are basically two sides to web design, the designing (as in graphics, how it looks) and the design of how it works (coding, data etc). What kind of people are best at each side? I have a good mind for detail and I love a challenge, I am creative too but not abstract. I just cant decide which side of the computer to get on, the visual side or programming? Anyone know any good sites that would introduce me to what i need to know for programming etc? i just did a brain test and im almost centered, Left 48%, Right 52%! how can i be both? lol it makes sense though because im neither creative or analytical all together, truly both!

- webs.com best site evr i hav like 7 sites already... it's free
- I would rather learn to do both, you know? In order to open my options up. I'm learning to do both this summer along with other program languages. Use "For Dummies" book local book stores carry them. And google for sites, google is the most useful tool for learning anything.
- Learn HTML and CSS and then a scriptin language if you are looking to design web sites. http://www.w3schools.com If you are good at design, then the designing of a site will be easy once you know how to code it. If all you want to do is just make it look pretty, then go into graphic design. Web design probably isn't what you are gonna want to learn. FYI... The real art in web site design is in the coding. :) Functionality is the best design.
- My Opinion Do Coding, Because Then After You Know How To Code, You Can Easily Learn Graphics, Because Graphics Are Very Easy
- If you're left-brained (analytical), you'll be best at programming. If you're right-brained (artistic), you'll be better at graphic design. If you're neither you won't be good at either.
