So,what would I find in a public record about my home?

Well,I want to get more information about my home such as what were the original wall design and the original light specifications! Since,I am the third owner of the house,then I would want to be able to tell which thing that is a part of the house was a part of the original design or an add-on that the previous owner did! I think if I did somehow get in contact with the previous owners,then they would probably forgotton what they did to the house.
