How to design a Light Aircraft Cockpit?

Good day! I would like to ask if anyone knows good reference materials or links for light aircraft cockpit lay-outing. That should include where to properly place instruments in accordance to air laws and pilot advantages. I am planning to use the materials for my upcoming aircraft design subjects in college.

  1. Look at photographs of different light aircraft panels and you will see very similar layouts. These have been chosen over years and have proved to be the best. Notice that the "basic T" is always observed, with the airspeed indicator on the left, the attitude indicator in the middle, the altimeter on the right and the heading indicator under the attitude indicator.
