Where can I get a degree for light design in the US (preferably somewhere close to Alabama but I'm not picky)

I'm a junior in high school and I'm looking for a place to learn concert light design. I have learned a degree is not necessary however I would like to learn more about the subject, I am a light freak... I have over 10 lights in my room and watch the lights at concerts (I'm strange I know) but im really bummed because i can't find anywhere i can do this. any suggestions?

1. I am not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but Parson's (the New School for Design) in New York, offers a degree in Lighting Design. This is a great school, whose campus is located in the heart of New York City. In fact its Fashion school is seen every week on the Bravo TV reality show Project Runway. I know you said you were interested in a school near Alabama, but this school could open up a lot of doors for you. I have provided the link to Parson's Light Design page in the sources.
