What lighting effects would make a 3D cave design appear more immerse.?

By immerse i mean environmentally engaging and exciting to ones perception. It could make exploring the cave via a designed video game more successful in it's playability.

1. Probably just some breaks in the rocks where light is coming in from the lighting and some water is trippin down into the cave. Definitely have some pools of water in there to add to it.
