- go for it
- cheap looking
- Try it
- i would do my kitchen like that if that answers your question.
- Great Idea! Especially if you already have some spare tiles! Good Thinking! Good Luck!
- thumbs up here.
- it depends on the cabinet stain and counter top material. how they have it presented there looks kinda cheap. maybe if it had a little more relief - you know depth away from the wall - like real tiles.
- I like it. It's your home baby. Do whatever you like!
- good Idea
- Very bad. Vinyl tile stains, discolors from smoke/spills, warps and it melts. Anyone that tells you differently either has never had to replace this type of installation, or has never lived with one. Since it will likely come in contact with hot grease, high heat, or other items (tomato sauce and god knows what else), it will prove to be a grave mistake. You will only wind up taking it down and replacing it in the near future should you actually install it. It might look nice for a short period of time but it really isn't worth it when a comparable alternative is available for the same (if not lower) cost.
- Good idea, its really nice!
- Good idea..i just did my kitchen the same way with almost the same color.
- I like the concept. I don't like the color they chose.
- I think that might end up looking cheap, I would probably just try to save up money for ceramic or glass tiles, or just skip the backsplash alltogether.
- I'm a professional painter and It isn't a bad idea. But I think the color of the tiles are making it look cheesy. Especially to be a backdrop for stainless steel. But I'm sure you already know their are all kinds of colors and styles. Since you will be putting it in a place where it will be receiving a lot of stains (ex. grease, water, food residue etc..) consider asking a professional about a product that you place on top as a protector. Some kind of sealer, etc. Happy Designing!
- i like it, the stainless steel really brings a sharp look to it.
- I kind of like it. I like the pics color combo. I might even consider it. I way ove the ceramic tiles and like the new idea.
- I think it is a good idea for a short term cosmetic fix. Not to hold up for 10 years, but to make the space look nice until something better can be afforded. Starting out in your first home, I think it is a good idea.
- Its very cheesy & cheap looking. Sorry! There are discontinued or sale ceramic tiles you can buy -since you only need a small amount anyway that would only cost you pennies each tile. Also a really inexpensive (yet not cheesy)backsplash is a stainless steel sheet panel or a decorative tin ceiling tile sheet. (those come in awesome colors as well.) bronze, cream, silver etc... or you can paint them to match your decor.
- Great looking in the photo but, trust me, it will look tacky in person. People will say "Oh what a great idea! It looks great'. But in the car on the way home they"ll be saying "Can you believe how cheap that looks. For a few bucks more they could have had real stone".
- Cheap looking..just paint and save your money for what you really want..it looks like flooring on the wall..no getting around that.
- Looks like a great idea. I'd use it.
- Won't hold up at all well.
