Which notebook should i get?!?!?!?!?!?

Hey, okay so I'm in need for a new laptop because my current Dell laptop has a broken trackpad. I have narrowed it down to 3 notebooks. The first one is a Dell Inspiron 1525(link below). HP Dv5z(link below), and a HP Dv2000us?(i think thats the name of it!) Anyways, they all have the pretty much the same specs, with the exception of the HP Pavillions which include a webcam and Lightscribe(both of which i will not use). Also the HP's have NVidia graphics, but i won't be playing much games at all. The Dell has a very nice design and it is lightweight and slim, much so are the HP's. The Dell I can get for a lower price, but will it be worth it? I will be taking this notebook to school for doing slideshow presentations and schoolwork and "homework" lol. It will also be part of my entertainment center meaning that i will hook it up to my plasma-screen tv sometimes and use it on that. Also, the Dell features a HDMI port on the side, whereas the HP's don't. And the Dell has 4 USB ports and has a 8-in-1 card reader. They all have 15.4 inch glossy screens, except the HP Dv2000 that has a 14.1 inch glossy screen. I basically want a notebook that has 2 gigs of RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, Vista Premium, cd/dvd burner, dual-core processor, and it has to be light(6 lbs or lighter) and it has to have a slim profile. Thanks in advance and please no harassing answers! http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8878002&productCategoryId=abcat0502001&type=product&id=1210379087572 http://www.shopping.hp.com/series/category/notebooks/dv5z_series/3/computer_store?jumpid=in_r329_personalization/browse2/PDP_SDP I do have a external USB mouse and it works fine, but i don't wan't to have to lugg that around my school along with my other things i am forced to carry. 1. Don't buy a dell, they break down really easily. My family has in the past had 2 dells, which 1 has had the keyboard sunked in by the battery, and the other 1 has a couple of keys that dont work. I would go for either of the HPs anyday.
  2. http://explore.toshiba.com/laptops/satellite/L350 if you are on a small budget. Macbook!
  3. HP Pavilion!!
  4. we use dell in our business, and i have a couple of dells at home - that would be my preference (though i have had HP in the past). but here's a possibly cheaper solution. since the reason you want to upgrade is the broken trackpad, why not just buy a small wireless usb mouse for the notebook.
  5. I've spoken to a lot of professionals and non-professionals in my search for the most appropriate laptop for me. I'd suggest the best RAM you could afford; at least 2, but 3 would be great. Probably 15.4" if you'll ever use it as a screen for viewing-anything smaller gives me a headache; and from several sources I've found that DELL and HP have the same repair rate amongst laptops. So, any of the 3 would be a good pick. p.s.-I prefer HP
