what goes best with red walls in a small bathroom with a toilet and sink only?

I painted my small bathroom dark red, this is a very msall bathroom and I don't want to make it look tacky. I have an espresso cupboard that is above the toilet as well, but I need something on the wall for art?

1. Well, technically it's a washroom, or a water closet, if there's no tub. Isn't it rather dark? Try a white or bone colored trim to brighten it up. Or bright pictures or hangings. A white crown molding would be nice... Or a white ceiling...
2. you should NEVER paint a small room dark red...how about some white paint?
3. I think its great you took the chance on painting your powder room dark red - a powder room is a great place to experiment with colour I think. I would look for a piece of art that has a touch of the espresso and dark red in it, mixed with some gold colour tones would probably look amazing. I hope you have good (well placed) lighting in this room. If not - perhaps look at ikea for an inexpensive light to showcase whatever art you choose - they have special lights just for this purpose. 4. Hey, you should get a good size decorative mirror. It will help in making the space look larger. You can also get a votive or tealight wall hanging.
