Picture People or Portrait Innovations?
I plan on taking my 6 month old son to take some studio pictures. Of the places in my area, I have narrowed it down to these two places. If you've been to either one, what are your opinions on them? Good? Bad? I seriously do not want Wal-Mart or Sears. I've been to both places and was not satisfied. The JCPenny where I live doesn't have a studio,

- I've been the the Picture People. I loved the pictures I got, plus I got them back within an hour (so no waiting a couple of weeks like JcPenney), but... I felt they were pretty expensive. A Sheet is like $16 dollars, where at JcPenney's it's like $4... so if money is not an issue, definetly go there, they do turn out really nice.
- I took my son TWICE to get his 6 month pictures taken and was disappointed both times. So I think either place should be fine---just be prepared to communicate exactly what you want (I really wanted smiling photos and ended up with only 1 sort of useable photo---the best smiling one was taken SIDEWAYS! Like I'm going to put an 8x10 photo in a frame and put it SIDEWAYS in my house!!!) and also get the best deal you can (I went to Target and JC Penney and used coupons---only paid $15 each time and got an assortment of sizes off of one pose---AT LEAST try to avoid a sitting fee so if you don't like the photos you can just not order.) I really think how well it will turn out is based on who the photographer is--and even at one location there will be several. Good luck and I hope it goes better for you than it did for me!!!
