could you please explain both of lighting calculation and lighting design too?

Please provide with a complete applied example in diffrent cases with the necessery data needed. and whout about street light design and calculation too? Please clarifiy with a solved example for indoor and outdoor area(what is the input should be givin and how doing the output.) or give me a link to usefull site
