Decorating my kitchen - in modern "ethnic" theme. Using green and red, we have black appliances. Any help?. ?

We'd like to celebrate our Latino heritage by using vibrant colors - mainly red/green but love yellow/orange. Anyway - with our kids we have black appliances (they dont show smudgey fingerprints like stainless steel does!) So I am looking for pictures, website, clippings with similar colors for our decorating-design inspiration? Thanks! Of course its not Christmas - it's not kelly green or emerald green.... And being proud of being Latino is not un-American. How lame are you, if you think that? Why is it so American to be proud of being Irish or Italian but not Latino?

  2. Red & Green: http://z.hubpages.com/u/214921_f520.jpg I really think yellow and red or yellow and green will go much better together than red & green though. Here's a nice yellow one: http://farm1.static.flickr.com/176/422668468_a393bb6445_o.jpg
  3. Just don't make it too Christmas like with the red and greens...
  4. Well, i found a pic of a beautiful red kitchen that might have a little decoration inspiration.. But only if you're looking to redo the ENTIRE kitchen.. not just repaint, because i'm sure this isn't your exact house's kitchen.. loll.. http://www.yourhomeandgarden.co.nz/Portals/0/images/Home_Ideas/ColourCourse/redgetty.jpg you could always add green in, i just though this was really pretty :]

  6. I grew up in Southern California and have seen lots of beautiful mexican tiles, ceramics and furnishings. I've seen some beautiful breakfast tables made with vibrant colored mexican tiles and wrought iron. Cover the chair seats in a colorful serape fabric. You can get some colorful Mexican pottery and use some southwestern type throw rugs or colorful braided rugs and A colorful cactus dish garden on window sill. You can some pretty red chiles braided in rafia to hang along the wall. The idea is to not go overboard and just use accents to make a statement. http://www.lafuente.com/accessories.php
