Who has an Ikea Kitchen?

I'm looking to change my kitchen cabinets, and have found exactly what I want, at the right price, at Ikea, but I'm concerned about their quality for kitchens, particularly the wooden bench tops, which I want to seal with estapol, rather than their suggestion of oiling on a regular basis. Can anyone give me their experiences with Ikea kitchens and their bench tops?

1. It's cheap stuff but taken care of can give good use. Euro furniture for the most part is made of particle board or pressed wood due to lumber costs. I have heard IKEA maens just that. Pressed wood.

3. I love every Ikea kitchen I've ever seen. If you go to Ikeafans.com you can ask the people there and they will all tell you how amazing their kitchens are. No, the quality isn't top of the line. But, you can't really compare a $4000 Ikea kitchen to a $30,000 custom kitchen, but in the end it comes down to how much you're willing to pay. They probably won't last a lifetime and might not stand up to children very well, but for the look and price they can't be beat. And they have endless customizing possibilities that are fantastic!!
