What is the latest trend in bathroom tiling? ?

Should tiles go all the way to the ceiling? And is it better to tile on the diagonal? I want my bathroom renovation to be modern yet classic.

1. I LOVE the idea of subway tiles. They're totally classic yet modern. I would think how far up the wall you went would depend on the size of your bathroom....
2. Large tiles are a big hit and they can be laid on a diagonal. You will have more waste, but if it's a small bathroom it might not be that bad. Bright colors are also in -- blues, yellows, reds. Be daring.
