Why do people waste their time in a world that doesn't exist?

Let's face it, we could have done without all the inventors, musicians, scientists, teachers, farmers, or anyone that contributed something to the world that did not exist before they discovered it. If we are animals and people see themselves as creatures and nothing else, let's take all the innovation from their lives and technology they didn't create and let them all live together on a big island where survival of the fittest is the law. Just kidding though.....lol But really excuse the sarcasm, let me rephrase the question Why do some find happiness in their own minds and their own dreams when the world around them could be falling apart? History recalls how great the fall can be While everybody's sleeping, the boats put out to sea Borne on the wings of time It seemed the answers were so easy to find "Too late," the prophets cry The island's sinking, let's take to the sky Called the man a fool, stripped him of his pride Everyone was laughing up until the day he died And though the wound went deep Still he's calling us out of our sleep My friends, we're not alone He waits in silence to lead us all home So tell me that you find it hard to grow Well I know, I know, I know And you tell me that you've many seeds to sow Well I know, I know, I know Can you hear what I'm saying Can you see the parts that I'm playing "Holy Man, Rocker Man, Come on Queenie, Joker Man, Spider Man, Blue Eyed Meanie" So you found your solution What will be your last contribution? "Live it up, rip it up, why so lazy? Give it out, dish it out, let's go crazy, Yeah!"

  1. With an avatar like yours, I can see where you come from! Though, you're the one totally blinded with your bad poetry, and don't make much sense, I'm sorry to tell you that you're out of this world... really...What you take is none of my business, yet next time, try and get real!
  2. Sounds like a fun cult you're in.
  3. Because we have nothing better to do?
