Help!! I am trying to decide what color to paint my kitchen in my new house but I can't find the right color?
Does anyone know of any websites that I can look at serveral pictures of kitchens and/or bedrooms? I need a visual aid to base my decision on!! Any advice is appreciated! PS: My kitchen openly joins my living room with a breakfast nook/bay window.

- dark red.
- we have an open kitchen and we left all but the back wall open, we painted it a lime green color and then put dark plants on top of the cupboards, it looks great!
- I have decorated every room in every house I have ever lived in by finding one object that really inspired me. A piece of art, a tablecloth, a knick-knack. Then take that pc to your local hardware/home improvement store and find colors that compliment that particular piece. Then it all comes together from there. Good Luck
- Sure! Go here: http://www.truevaluepaint.com/content/home/default.aspx Click on "Color Selection Tool" and it will load. You can choose photos of rooms, and change colors of walls, cabinets, floors, etc. in them. It's really fun, even if you're NOT on a redecorating project. :)
- I went to the home improvement store and picked up their books. They had numerous books with samples and combinations. I would be afraid of using the internet because colors won't be the same as the actual paint. You really need to see the chips. We ended up picking a color combination from Lowe's that was on a pre-printed post card size sample that showed not only a room painted and decorated in the colors but had actual paint chips. Good luck. I hate picking out paint and don't want to do it again for like 20 years!! lol.
- This website has some great ideas. You can even submit a photo of your room, and they will email recommendations. I personally loved the photo of the blue kitchen with the turquoise chairs. It was an unexpected color, but it really was interesting to me.
- Go to Home Depot or Lowes paint section. They have hundreds of paint cards. They also have brochures there with painted rooms in them.
- if its a small room your better off with a brite color to make it look bigger. any beige color is nice for a kitchen or yellow. you can even do your bay window one color and then do the rest of the room another and tie it in with the bay.
- paint store websites like sherwin williams, benjamin moore, home depot, Better homes and gardens has a ton of examples too. search on "kitchen" in yahoo image section.
- You should visit http://www.behr.com They have a fabulous inter-active tool called "Color Explore" where you click on a color you have chosen and the photo of the room they have installed instantly turns to the color you clicked on so you can get a visual idea of what your own walls might look like. I use this tool quite a bit in my business (I'm in the faux finishing/stenciling industry).
