Non-creative graphic design jobs??

I heard that there are some positions in graphic design that are considered non-creative. I was wondering if someone could give me some examples of these types of positions. I would also like to know where I would find such positions!

  1. yea, data entry and page placement, we use graphic designers to make reports for us. we give them the template they just fill it in and graph stuff, turn articles into PDF,s and write out our letters, etc..
  2. Anything listed as "production artist" is probably a graphic designer who doesn't do a lot of creative work. What they basically do is cleanup already existing art or prep it to be printed or make small changes. There isn't a lot of original design work that is performed, but it could be. You can find productions artists in a lot of different industries. I've worked as one for a couple packaging companies.
