What color should we paint the two bathrooms in our house?

We just bought a house and are starting to paint room by room. We are stuck when it comes to the paint color for the two bathrooms. Our master bedroom will be blue. What color should we paint the master bathroom light green or tan. It is yellow now and we do not like it. Also, we are painting the guest bathroom, right now it is blue and we do not like it. What color should we paint it?

  1. Defiantly Light green for the master bathroom. For the guest room maybe like a Cream + Brown, with things like green pillows etc..? Cream is always a nice colours to stick to in guest rooms. (:
  2. Use a contrasting color from your bedroom as the main color. Otherwise just go with an off white or deep beige, this way you can add accessories in each to give it color.
  3. Different shade of blue, in a lighter more cripsy color. You want the room looks and feel "CLEAN". But you forget to mention the tile color in the room also, it will make different. Yellow is a good color to go with blue, maybe the shade is wrong, or it doesn't match the tile works. Identify which one is the issue that yellow didn't work out. Same idea apply with your guest bathroom. The cabinet color and tile colors and if you want to do a theme there.
  4. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to help you imagine how the colors will look together. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think "popular gray" (# 6071) might be a good choice for the master bath, and "Sticks & Stones" (# 7503) for the guest. You can take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
