A question for moms-to-be (first time or otherwise)...?
Is there a 'hot' list of stuff that pregnant mommies want for their babies? My niece is expecting her first baby and she does not want to know the gender of the baby until it is born...so I'll probably wait until I know what it is before I make a decision on what to buy her... But I guess what I want to know is what are some hot, must-have items for baby - anything really cool/unique - please share with me. My niece already has the Juicy Couture baby bag - so that's out. Thanks for your help!!! :) Great ideas - keep 'em coming! :)

- babies r us has a top registry items list- i used it when registering for the stuff i needed- i love my Chicco carseat!
- My boppy pillow was a lifesaver. We used it to breastfeed, bottle feed, I slept with it, my son sat in it when he couldn't sit by himself, he used it when he could sit by himself but still toppled over, we used it to lay him on his tummy to strengthen his neck muscles. And the other thing I couldn't live without was my snuggli sling. I used to just put him in there and do chores around the house. He's 20 months old almost and still tries to get in there. I got to keep him close and get stuff done. Congrats to her and have fun shopping!
- When I was pregnant I went to the BabiesRUs Website and looked up their top selling registry items and that helped me plan my registry. It may help you choose something that isn't gender specific yet fun for mom and baby. I didn't get every thing they suggested, but it helped narrow it down. They do have some high end products, like the Wendy Bellissimo line and other name brands. They also have customer reviews of all of the products they carry so that helped me make good decisions about what I eventually bought. What my favorite thing of all is the Diaper Champ Diaper Pail. It works a lot better than the diaper genie. More cost effective. Hope this helps!

- From a recent new mom, I can recommend the following: the Boppy an activity gym (the arch-thing with dangly toys on it) and wrap bodysuits She said when her son was a newborn, the bodysuits that wrap and snap on the side (as opposed to the over-the-head kind of onesie) were much easier to use. She also used the arch-gym and Boppy from day one. I have stocked up on the wrap suits and plan on having the Boppy and gym for mine due in March. Congrats!
- Boppy... they are amazing! My daughter received a crystal pacifier holder in the shape of a tiara, so if she has a girl that is always an idea.
- Get her some type of sling in a nice fabric.
