Was Preston Tucker's innovations in automotive design scavenged by the big Three auto makers?

Preston Tucker is credited with creating the safety factors incorporated in vehicles amoung them was safety glass, disc brakes, fuel injection, aircraft inspired doors, and seat belts. He also came up with a rear mounted drive system. Did his he or his family ever benefit from his innovations?

1. To tell you the truth, he only ravished for a little while. Unfortunately, he didn't have the money to compete with the Big Three!!! Tucker was a man well ahead of the business. It was a shame that Tucker couldn't mass produce his car. The car was would of gone far because of all the safety and new innovations that he had used on the car. If you get the chance, watch the movie entitled "Tucker". It is an excellent movie. That might also help explain the story a little better!!!
2. "ravished for a little while?" What the heck does that mean? He was a rapist but he didn't do it for very long? What?
3. Tucker was drug through court and peeled back like a banana. His car was so far advanced that it frightened the major car companies. He accused them of building death traps and set about to prove he bould build a safer car. He did. He only produced about 50 of his dream cars before he was forced to shut down and abandon his creation " The Tucker"
