How can you tell if fish is bad?

Its been frozen than microwaved. I'm used to buying it fresh and cooking it on the outdoor kitchen. But grocery store is closed I had to settle with frozen junk. It smells REALLY fishy. Is it ok to eat ?

1. Fish shouldn't smell like fish. So if it smells fishy I wouldn't chance eating, you might get sick. But that's up to you.
2. If it smells bad, it probably isn't all that fresh. The food handling specialists always say, "When in doubt, toss it out."
3. Trust me, I'd rather throw 20$ or whatever out the window than get food poisoning. I'd rather go hungry than ever risk that horror again! Like the guy and girl above said, it shouldn't smell. If it's over powering fishy, toss it! If you eat it and your stomach starts to cramp, throw it up immediately. You'll know if it's bad enough for food poisoning within 20 mins of eating it : )
