What's the best economical countertop for an outdoor kitchen in terms of looks & upkeep?

1. I would recommend a Corian surface. Depending on your access to this material, it can be less expensive than other products such as granite or quartz. I have seen it used at Sea World in FL for an outdoor sink counter. That has been about 10 years ago. I would talk to the countertop suppliers in your area, ask if they have installed Corian outdoors previously. I've been working with Corian now for 20 years as a kitchen designer. It's easy to maintain although dark colors show some scratches. Good Luck!
