is it ok if I use my own pictures?

I have some of my own pictures, like my baby, me. can i use this pictures to draw them for my portfolio for college admission, is it ok if I draw my baby, with the picture that i took. I love that picture she's naked there :)... so cute. I should tell you where I'm applying, I'm applying for interior design at FIT. and I have to do a portfolio for admission, and they sent the letter that I should prepare a Portfolio, with the best drawings, I have to have like 20 to 30 Pisces of art (examples: sculpture, graphics, ceramics, textile design, photography, computer graphics, etc.) and a home test with interior drawings. so what do you think would that do. If you have any opinion, or suggestion please fell free to throw it at me. Thank you, god bless

1. Of course you can! In time you'll find you will get that 'extra' in your work, once you start using lifemodels.
