- I would say with black furniture you should paint the walls a light color, because you don't want to have too many dark colors in the room. What color couch are you planning on buying
- Well I would go with any bright colors. If you continue to fill your home with dark colors, sooner or later it will look like you are living in a cave. Colors to accent with....fuchsia, turqoise, sky blue, sea green. I would go for colors that really pop to even out the black wood.
- You have a completely blank canvas here with the black wood and glass. If you want to do something calm and soothing, a sagey green or a airy blue would look awesome. If you want to go more traditional, a nice sand beige color with golden undertones. If you want it to be a happenin party down kind of space then paint it red or orange with white and black accents. All I'm trying to say is these pieces of furniture aren't going to hold you back. What about the flooring? Hardwood, ugly moss green carpet? I would take this into consideration before the furniture. If youre still at a loss and the flooring won't cause any issues either, choose something you really like, be it a painting or a vase or a pillow. Prety much any random knick knack can be a source of inspiration. Go to your local paint dealer and just pick out color chips you like and take them home. It can be a long journey, just don't get too overwhelmed.
- play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours: http://www.sherwin.com/visualizer/ I think "witty green" (# 6929) might be a good choice. You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website: http://www.roomvues.com/ You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
- A beige with a yellowy undertone would be great. Yellow is a huge contrast to black which brings it out. If you go for a yellowy beige or even a gold, it will contrast the black just enough to bring it out. So your walls are pretty neutral. You could go with a deep red. I think that it goes with both colors and is a pop of color at the same time. Get a great rug, some art, and pillows with patterns and you have a room!! Hope I helped!!
- All my furniture (entertainment center, dining table, pic frames etc) are black, and I've painted my walls with light colors, that way the room won't be as dark...And if you buy white leather couches it will look TERRIFIC! here are some colors: Just look at the wall colors...lol..don't mind the furniture.. =) 1.http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/designers_portfolio/portfolio/0,2159,HGTV_16257_2140,00.html?searchType=Portfolio&Room=DP+LIVING+AREAS&Style=&Designer=&SearchPositionIndex=39 2.http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/designers_portfolio/portfolio/0,2159,HGTV_16257_2024,00.html?searchType=Portfolio&Room=DP+LIVING+AREAS&Style=&Designer=&SearchPositionIndex=56 3.http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/designers_portfolio/portfolio/0,2159,HGTV_16257_1432,00.html?searchType=Portfolio&Room=DP+LIVING+AREAS&Style=&Designer=&SearchPositionIndex=169 4.http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/designers_portfolio/portfolio/0,2159,HGTV_16257_1791,00.html?searchType=Portfolio&Room=DP+DINING+ROOMS&Style=&Designer=&SearchPositionIndex=34
