What is the difference and definition of commercial, retail, hospitality, residential architecture?
What is the definition (or examples) of each of those 4 as it pertains to architecture or interior design projects or real estate? For example, is a restaurant considered commercial or is that hospitality?
Public Comments
- Commercial - Office Buildings Retail - Malls, shopping stores, etc. Hospitality - Restaurants, bars, nightclubs... Residential - homes
- Restaurant is commercial. We don't spend much time deciding what category of architecture a project falls into. They are just buildings that need to be created and designed and built..
- it pertains to the type of occupancy and permitted use by the zoning regulation as set forth in the general and specific plan in the planning department.
