Republicans are saying that Sara Palin has more experience than Obama! Are they stupid! Sara Palin served as Mayor of a town of 6,000 before serving less than two years as governor of a state with the 48th smallest population in the Union. Obama's decisions as a state Senator in Chicago affected more people because Chicago has a larger population than the entire state of Alaska! ALASKA HAS A POPULATION OF 683,000 PEOPLE AND CHICAGO HAS A POPULATION OF 2.8 MILLION. ILLINOIS HAS A POPULATION OF 12.8 MILLION. Exactly what has Sara Palin done as governor? People who claim "she has executive experience" are just undermining McCain. What executive experience does McCain have? He doesn't even have to run his 8 households. Obama served as a State Senator from Chicago for 8 years. As a state legislator, Obama gained bipartisan support for legislation reforming ethics and health care laws. He sponsored a law enhancing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare. Obama has served 44 months as a US Senator and is a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. He helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. 10. You conveniently left out accomplishments and level of responsibility of a Governor vs. a Senator. Governors have far more responsibility then Senators. Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, etc.. all governors. (her other professional accomplishments are important as well, like exposing and doing something about corruption as a Commissioner) If you consider talk and organizing a small community on the South side of Chicago accomplishment then you have you're man. Obama is a good man but I do not agree with the obtrusive role he feels government should play in our lives.
11. Only two bills made it out of commitee only one became law and the other was scheduled for a debate in 2006. Most were read and sent to comitee. What you have posted only represents about 30 days on the floor of the senate. This makes me wonder if you are are actually being serious.
