  1. sorry most of them are on a Electronic board so most likely cant
  2. It depends of what kind of car and year. I replace mine from a 96 camry and all I had to do was remove the screws underneath the dash trim and the screw holding the cluster i place. you can see behind the cluster four or five mine bulb sockets holding the burned bulb to be replaced.

The electronic boards he is refering to usually have small surface mounted LED's instead of bulbs. LED's give around 100,000 hours of use before they blow, but even they can be replaced as i have done so before. However, your heater controls are illuminated by good old fashioned bulbs, 286 bulbs in fact. You do need to remove some of the centre console in order to gain access to the back of the heater controls to change the bulbs, and i would suggest taking your car to a professional to have the bulbs changed, as someone that doesn't know what to do will most likely inflict some damage to your dash by prising things or pulling on things that shouldn't be touched. Being a newish car there are no exposed screws to help you figure out which bits to take apart, most of it is held together by concealed clips and screws that are hidden behind other panels. This should take no more than an hour at a garage, and the bulbs will cost only pennies each.
