living room devided with island/bar & painted light yellow. Kitchen small, would darker cabinet compliment me?

living room painted light yellow, furniture colors lighter yellow with one chair colored background light yellow with ross, cream, dark green design. Tiles are white all the way thru and stainless steel applainces

1. The colors would be great with the yellow, but if it's a small kitchen you won't want dark cabinets, because it will make your kitchen seem even smaller, maybe you could have white cabinets and change the flooring color. Although dark cabinets would pop in the lighter kitchen, this is a really good question
2. Dark cabinets will make your room look smaller; I would go with light oak; it will go well with the yellow and still not overpower everything else.
