What is the most you have spend on?

pictures (at one time) and how many children do you have? I got my son's Christmas and first birthday pictures taken today and they were $117.77. I got a TON of pictures! 3sheets- 10x13 (2 are special effects) 8sheets-8x10 (3 have special boarders) 3sheets-3.5x5 (1 s.e.) 6sheets- 5x7 (2 s.e.) and 10sheets-wallets plus 6 greeting cards. Plus I also got a CD with all the pictures on it. I don't think the price was bad for how many pictures I got. Normally I don't spend that much but I got them taken at Portrait Innovations because it's his birthday pics and Christmas and I got them back the same day. Just curious also if you have more than one child do you get a group pic and then individual pics as well or not? I have a step-daughter and we were hoping to get both pictures taken but she was sick and time is running out (we have tried three other times too but none worked out). Next year there will be three kids (one on the way) and I have never got the pictures taken together yet so I was wondering should I get individual too or not? Not really a big deal just wondering for next year. Thanks. Also I want to do the pregnancy pics do you think it will be weird if my step-daughter is in them? I want the one where the kids hands are on the tummy or their head is like they are listening or giving a kiss.

  1. When my daughter was 3 months old I foolishly spent $300 on pictures of her. There were 8 different poses and backgrounds, 10x13's, 3-8x10's, 6-5x7's, 8-3.5x5's, and 40 wallets of each one. I wasn't strong enough to say no...I bought them all. There were so many of them every person I knew got each picture because I didn't want to get stuck with hundreds of leftovers, lol. My walls were full of beautiful pics of her...that was the good thing about them. But I really should not have spent so much. When my son was 3 months old I went and got portraits done of him. I only bought the big ones for my walls...heck with the wallets for the whole neighbourhood. Cost $100. When they were a little older, I really smartened up. I dressed them up all nice, hung a sheet in my kitchen as a back drop and took my own pictures of them. Got them printed in all sizes and it only cost me $36. Much better :-) As for your pregnancy pics, honestly speaking, as a mother I don't think I'd want my daughter kissing someone's belly. Step-mom or not. The listening idea sounds much better to me. It's her baby-sibling so why not?
