How come when I look at my self in the mirror and than take pictures it looks diff to me?

I take pictures on myself when I am in the bathroom with my camera and than when I upload it to the computer it looks different than when I just look at my self in the mirror with out a camera or anything? Is it my mind or how I look in the camera is how I really look like?
