Where do you get interior design ideas? ?

Need some inspiration to redesign a living/dining room. Need new furniture. Where would you shop? Classic Modern style... love updated retro looks. What would you recommend?

1. Pay an interior designer, by the hour, for advise. Tell them not to be gentle.
2. Definitely updated retro looks (some black, some white, some silver) Definitely not shabby chic
3. you might want to check out www.silkflowershowroom.com they have a lot of classic and modern silk flower arrangements.
4. Go to ikea.com. They have room inspiration videos and previews. I really like it. Then download their "home planning" device. You can plan what your living/dining room would look like in 3-D, with furniture from Ikea that you can choose and buy online.
