  1. Each restaurant chain is different. Some use cheap veggie oil, others use peanut oil, some, Like Taco Bell, are switching to canola oil as it is better for you. Check with the restaurants you eat at, they will tell you when you say it is a medical diet issue.
  2. Ask, if you use the same few restaurants. Depends on the restaurant and what they want to brag about - peanut oil, mixed vegetable oil, lard, lard and vegetable oil mixed. Olive oil for pan cooking. You may recall the stink when vegetarians found that McDonalds was lying about there not being lard in the oil used for frying potatoes. You may just have problems with fat, although restaurant cooking usually leaves less in food than the same process done at home because of better temperature control.
  3. usually in all the hotels they use mixed palm oil and other,,,,,,, basically they want money hence they use the oils that are cheaply available in the market that are injurious 2 our health.................
  4. It is called cooking oil.. you used points to ask ?? you don't even say what continent your on much less a city and the restaurant get on the phone..
  5. the cheapest to maximise profit
  6. WOAH! There are too many restaurants or fast food joints out there, sorry bud...going to have to call around. Interesting enough (here's a star) I would like to know a couple of places myself!
  7. Most deep fried or grill cooked foods are prepared with a blended oil called Pan & Grill in our area. It is a mixture of vegetable and palm oil. It is specifically designed to handle the high temperatures, doesn't break down with a lot of use and is cheap. If the fryer/grill is not properly cleaned, the residue from the grillbrik or the boil out can cause adverse reactions to your intestinal tract, too. Unfortunately, you won't get most places to admit this may be part of the problem. Talk to the supervisor or manager where you have eaten and experienced problems. They don't know unless someone tells them there may be a problem. If there are several complaints, it may even change.
