What has your experience been with IKEA kitchens?

We are getting a rental property that needs updating and I'm debating on going with an Ikea Kitchen over a cabinet outlet center here in Chicago to save us money. Please give your honest opinion or let me know if better quality but afforable options are available.

1. I love IKEA, it's cheap, a little tacky but it's great when you are on a budget. Not sure what other options are available in your area (UK here) but go with what you can afford as you can get some pretty good buys at IKEA that look great.
2. Well I guess it depends on your area, but I was able to find wood cabinets for thousands cheaper then Ikea. They're stuff is not very durable. If you want the best deal, you need to spend the time to shop around. Ask yourself, it's it worth 20 hours to save $2-3K. If so, ya gotta put in the time to get your dime.
