What is something unique I can bring my new-born cousin when I go to visit next week?
My cousin just had a baby, and I want to bring something for the baby when I go visit them next week. She already has tons of toys, clothes, baby items etc that she got from the shower. What is a good gift I can bring? I would rather get something that is more for the baby than for the mom, but I am open to suggestions. Thanks!!

- Maybe a handprint/footprint placque. I got one of those from our shower. One of those pillows that you can write on with a permanent marker the stats of the baby's birth.
- You could get her one of those really nice large swaddling blankets. I found after I got home that most of the ones I had were too small for swaddling so I had to go get new ones and that was such a pain.
- Get the baby something with its birthstone. When I had my daughter my best friend got her a birthstone necklace, its something that she will treasure.
- the obvious is wipes and diapers, but on another note, what about Savings Bonds? You can make them out to the baby as long as you have a SSN for the baby. If you do do this make sure you make the bond made out to the baby or the mother. you can make them POD to the parent but that means Payable on Death and for some reason that just freaks me out to have that for a new baby. What about food or services(like house cleaning or the such) if you live close by, I know that I sure did appreciate the hot dinners I got just after I had both of my girls, what a blessing to not have to cook or think about cooking. Good luck to you and the new addition to your family.
