Lighting design?

I need to design a cheap lighting controller to control about 20-25 lights... preferably also a master switch/dimmer.. would putting this many lights on one switch/dimmer? also what is a good idea for a "box" to hold them...?

1. Leviton makes home dimmer systems for that sort of application. Better them than something you cobble together.
