What would be the approximate cost to upgrade the plumbing (pipes) in our home?
We have a cape. All pipe access is in the crawl space. we have only the one bathroom and kitchen sink and two outdoor hose attatchments.

- hello, iam not sure about you question, but i will tell you that the price of copper pipe is no longer cheep, as the government took out of circulation yeas ago copper pennies, the ones we use now are just plated with copper, so i think you need to mesure the amount of pipe footage and then go to your local hardware store and get a quoat, on the price of replacement, best wishes.
- It all depends on how much pipe you need and whether you are going to do it yourself or hire a plumber. With all the pipes in a crawl space you have limited work space and the risk of starting your house on fire when you solder the pipes, so work with care.
- A typical repipe of a house like yours will cost in the neighborhood of around $3500.00 This should include new piping form where the exsisting supply line enters your house to all fixtures, with new shut off valves for sinks and toilets, and replacing the two exsisting hose bibbs. This is usually for cpvc lines and included labor and parts. It is good you have a crawl space and will make the installation much easier and cleaner. This however may or may not effect the price. Get a few estimatees from local plumbing companys. Just remember you get what you pay for!
