Is Soft Warm Light Ok for Bathrooms?

All the lighting fixtures I find have softer glow to them verses bright like I think of bathrooms as having. Does anyone use warmer not so bright and white lighting in a bathroom. These are to serve as the lights for the mirror over the sink.

  1. The only problem with softer lighting is it may make it more difficult for you to see when you're doing your hair or your make-up. If you do your make-up elsewhere and you're not worried about softer lighting when you do your hair, then by all means go ahead and use softer lighting. Just my two-cents worth: Softer lighting in bathrooms can be a good thing because those bright lights can be VERY harsh...
  2. I prefer downlights with dimmer switch then you have choice of mood lighting.. works particularly well if have soft low level lighting also
