Completely remodeling my bedroom?
White walls with orange and pink. Bright colors. Light wood bed, white end table and entertainment center. 2 mushroom chairs orange and pink. homemade curtains and blankets. Going to make pillow cases too. http://www.womenbygrace.com/home006.html making blanket like this and orange and pink pillow cases to match. don't know what pattern yet probably reversible with stripes or dots or solid. window treatments will be pink and orange and be to floor, panels. closet beads in orange. gerber daisies in a vase with pink round pebbles. does this sound good? here is wall design http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z82/saphire993/wallplan.jpg I have loud personality room has to be dog friendly. please leave negative and positive comments after you answer check back every so often for updates are painting next week after christmas. should i make the lines on wall squiggley or straight? I'm DEFINITELY doing a wall pattern.I still have my nursery walls with pooh bear on them. I can do whatever I want with it. Oh! Would poster of Boys Like Girls, My Chemical Romance, The Vandals, and It's Happy Bunny! through off the design/ theme? Also, what theme is this? Contemperary? Modern? I don't think it's traditional... I can't change my bed. I plan on getting a new bed, but one step at a time for now. I'm kinda low on funds. Fabric is expensive. The only local place is Jo-Ann's for fabric, walmart stopped selling it. Soo... I will tone down on patterns... I have beige carpet but have a carpet runner in bright pink with orange trim (color idea hehe)

- I would go for a plain color on the walls if you plan on doing different patterns and textures for your window coverings and bedding. If you do both patterns on the bed, windows, and walls, it will be overwhelming. Go with solids for the walls, or maybe just one solid color as an accent wall, or do patterns on walls, but keep it simple with the rest of the decorations. Both is too much IMO. But to answer your question, I like the straight. And I wouldn't do any color wood other than white because that won't blend well with the rest. Use white wood. ...Oh you can always do walls in half and half or 2/3 and 1/3 with the tangerine and pink. that would be nice.
- the desigh is cute you should make the lines straight good luck hon..
- Anything with a few chains, dvd's, and a towel will do.
- sounds like your room suits you...bright colors do not work for me but for other people its a great idea...like the mushroom chair idea, rock on!
- I think it's going to look great. It's definitely modern. Have fun.
- Sounds Aweome!
- Sounds like you have a great plan. Go with straight for the lines,... it's better looking when it's done perfect and it's hard to make squiggly lines perfect (you can tape off the straight ones). Make sure you make the designs low enough where you can put your artwork above it so it they won't compete with eachother. I like the poster idea. Perhaps you can put diagonal boxes of color (a huge area of pink) behind each poster? OR HUGE polka dots (to compliment the smaller ones in your border) behind each poster?? Just a thought.....
