paint colors!?[[easy ten points]]?

We painted our dining room a golden yellow color but thats the only color so far! We need to paint our entry way: the door is light brown with light tan marble floors. Our living room: we have red couch with a flowery type design on it. Our kitchen: black and white tile floors darkish brown cabinets. and our restroom that look like a regular restroom! thanks!

  1. vibrate colors
  2. Question exactly?
  3. Chocolate brown accents with perhaps a teal or faint shade of green would set it off.
  4. dark green for the entry.
  5. try looking at tans, maybe creamy shades, or even an orange would look good... get some paint samples and start putting them up around and see what you like around the house
  6. white with red stripes! or stipes on one wall
  7. i see a green-ish brown. or a dark-ish purple. maybe even a blue but i ike the dark green-ish brown idea.
  8. i would do a gold because its sounds like it would match and looks pretty good but my favorite color is blue. Find somthing you really like
  9. for the entry way: red, im thinking a little lighter than the yahoo red. for the living room maybe a green or brown. and the kitchen im not too sure...thinking a true yahoo red or blue.... then the restroom a soft orange
  10. i would paint it a dark maroon color. i say dark cause of the brown door . Maroon cause of the red couch. That is just my opinion anyway.
  11. i think that you should paint the entry way a warm white like french vanilla, and the frontroom a light tan like cottonwood. the kitchen i would paint light green like avocado and the bathroom i would paint bright red my bathroom is that color and it's my favorite room.
  12. id try like a coffee or cream type color and maybe a red for your entry way... you could by some paint samples at ur local lowes or home depot or any other store like that. Good Luck ! --Anna<333
  13. Buy one of those color wheels at an art supply store. It give you many options right at you fingertips. Then you can match up what you have and either go chromatic or warm, vibrant or neutral.
  14. 1] entry: use the red of the couch, or a lighter shade of it, as recommended by sjsugian. This will tie the flow of color to the LR. 2] use one of the flower colors, or a warm cream or ivory for walls. Add a bit of gold in metals[ ornaments, picture frames, mirror ] or fabric [ drapes/pillows ] to tie to DR. 3] since you already have dark neutrals in kitchen, warm/brighten it up a bit - try: peach or coral banana lime or leaf green aqua 4] bath could be the cream of LR walls, with red accents from entry walls. A little 'gold' would work too.. Have fun!
  15. I'm not really sure what your question is? If you want suggestions as to the best color for the entry I have a few questions for you. For instance how big is the entry? Can you see the dining room from the entry? Do you live in a house of or apartment and how big is it? I will tell you that color can and will influence your moods, so it is important to know how you react to certain colors. Red is a warm color and it can bother some people, even agitate them. If you are thinking of painting any room red or orange be aware that you can have a reaction to these colors. Blue and green are cool colors and they can have a calming effect on you. You see these colors at the doctor's office for this very reason. It would be wise to paint with colors that you love. If you like golds and yellows, you will most likely also like tans and browns. They look good together. From the colors you have described in your home you can easily use reds, tans or greens. I like to have rich colors in my kitchen and dining rooms and softer more soothing colors in the rest of the house. If the entry is small and closed in a softer color would be my choice but if it is large and the other rooms are visible from it then you can paint the entry any color that will compliment the colors you use in the other rooms. I like to shade off the colors I use in other rooms. You can shade up two shades for a lighter effect or shade down for a deeper color. I don't know if I have helped you but I hope you are better armed as too what you can do with color then you were before! Feel free to ask me more questions if you need too.
