Tips and tricks for building a remote control airplane??

I just got a kit which gives you the design for an R/C airplane and was wondering if anyone out there had some tips or tricks they could hand down to me so to speak lol...its got a gas engine and its made of light wood(Obviously) .. also its just a trainer type plane. Any assistance?

1. Go to www.towerhobbies.com and look at the selection of instruction books they have to offer. The books will cover every stage of building and flying R/C models. Also, it would help if you could go to a model flying club and talk to some of the members. Good luck and have fun.
