Good gift for Grandma?
My grandma is in the nursing home and is turning 75 tuesday. What would be a good gift to get her? She loves baby dolls, birthstone items, angels. Problem is her room is overcrowded with these items already. Any unique ideas?

- Stamps and an assortment of greeting cards would probably be a hit.
- Take a Picture of all the Grandchildren and find a very special wall mountable frame to put it in. Grandmoms never get tired of seeing all thier grandchildren. There are frames out there with both angels and birthstones so try that.
- One option is a new nightgown or lounge wear with an angel on it. I do think stamps/stationary is a great idea.
- i would say that anything that will come from you she will love trust me! maybe just a simple card or maybe somehthing you could make her like a doll or somehthing or maybe just buy her something from a store. but i believe anything you'll give her is going to be perfectly fine with her!
- make a picture slide show of family photos put it all on a DVD, watch it with her and reminisce.
- Well, you could get a professional picture taken of yourself, and any other grandchildren she has. Or perhaps get her something nice to eat. If she has a favorite sweet, or something. I used to always get my grandmother a box of different dried fruit she liked. Plus that way it won't take up space. If you are crafty, you could make her a small blanket too. I did that before. A small lap blanket is always nice, because sometimes it's hard to control temps in her nursing home room- so maybe the same thing would be appreciated.
- Ok Family Project time 1 contact all liveing grand and great grandchildren and their parents ask for childhood and recent photos of them also ask them to write down their favorite memory of grandma 2 after collecting all of these get a really pretty photo album and place the pictures and memories in them 3 you might also want to get pictures of when your grandma was younger and when she was first married 4 get creative use those scrapbooking skills try to find fun backgrounds and pretty papers she will so love this and it is on the smaller side it will also be a lot of fun for her to show her friends at the nursing home it will also be helpful for her memory if you have a large family it can be hard to remember everyones names and birthdays ps in the back of the book have the names birthdays and current addresses listed for easy refference for birthdays cards and christmas cards this is so helpful for the future
- A gigolo and a quart of scotch.
- She doesn't need any more stuff. Write her each a long-ish personal letter, telling her how she taught you kindness, supported you when you were not confident, treated you as a person instead of a child, helped you discover the answer to an emotional question, and guided you towards your life's goals. Nothing is more warmly received than deserving praise. And it doesn't take up any more space either. The perfect gift!
- Granny's always appreciate warm nighties, soft socks, and creams for their dry skin. There are a lot of new really SOFT blanket throws out there now that she probably doesn't have. Nothing like dolls and birthstones, they don't collect anymore, they really only appreciate practical gifts.
